The leaders bunched across the top, Mashoor, Kawini, and Glena Bay coming into the straight on terms in front of Kairuri, Wenday and Kamehameha. Glena Bay drew out over the conclud- * ing stages to get the verdict by a length from Kawini, w r ho was a neck in front of Kairuri, who finished fast. Chromadyne drew' out and looked like getting the verdict, but I’m Alone finished very fast, this member of Mr J. Carroll’s team getting up to beat Chromadyne ■ by half a head. Hyde Park, i lie favourite, fully justified the £1206 invested on his chances- Royal Doulton (£1023) and Mithra (£682) were next in order of selection. King Emerald showed the way oul of< the straight to Ilydc Park, Mithra Le Choucas, King’s Guard, Desert Glow, Transformer, Royal Doulton and Mosaic. Six furlongs from home Hyde Park and King Emerald were together in front ■ from Le Choucas, Mithra, King’s Guard, Transformer, Deserl Glow, and Royal Doulton, with Mosaic well last. When the last half-mile was entered on Hyde Park, Transformer and Le Choucas ■were forcing the pace with Desert Glow, Mithra, King's Guard and Royal Doulton in that order of the next. Hyde Park, Transformer and Le Choucas were still on terms into the straight with Desert Glow, Mithra, Royal Doulton, King Emerald, King's Guard, and Mosaic racing as named. Over the concluding stages Hyde Park drew out, and although challenged by Royal Doulton who made a late run got -he verdict by half a length from Royal Doulton, ’who was a similar distance in front of Desert Glow. Three furlongs from' home Always, Snow Plane, Spring Abbey, Catulus, Brampton, Motere and Haviland were racing in that order. Always showed the way into the straight to Snow Plane, Spring Abbey, Bramplon and Motere. A furlong from home Spring Abbey took charge and looked like seeing it out but Motere finished fast and got up to dead heat with Spring Abbey. Joy Germ was the first to show up and led along the back from Tinokoa, Gold Money, Eaglet, Cynthia N, Branson, Lucy Rose and Value. Across the top the order was Gold Money, Joy Germ and Tinokoa. Gold Money showed the way into the straight to Joy Germ, Tinokoa, Eaglet, Value and Lucy Rose. Eaglet drew out to win by three r quarters jof a length from Cynthia N. who was a neck in front of Branson. Lucy Rose was fourth followed by Gold Money, Joy Germ, Tinokoa and Value. ARIHANA DESTROYED. BREAKS A FETLOCK. While galloping on the track at Pukekohe this morning Arihana broke a fetlock and was destroyed. Arihana, who was owned by Mr W. J. Wilson, of Takapuna, was a b g by Sir Dighton out of Quaver.
