The Salvation Army Band will play at the Waikato Hospital on Sunday afternoon.

The latest, radio message from the Byrd expedition ships, the City of New York and the Eleanor Bolling, indicates that they will arrive at Dunedin on Monday morning.

The new Rotorua County Council offices were officially opened yesterday by the Minister of Public Works, Hon. E. A. Ransom.

The eighty-fourth annual conference of the Auckland District of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows will commence next Wednesday morning at Auckland. The district grand master, Mr. F. Best, of Hamilton, will preside.

Additions to the Tc Awamutu District High School and the. Kereone school, near Morrinsville, will be put in band as a result of the authorisation of grants by the Education Department. Advice that the grants ha\e been made has been received by the Auckland Education Board from the Minister of Education, the Hon. H. Atmorc.
