Harvest Thanksgiving. In the Presbyterian Chinch on Sunday harvest thanksgiving services [were held and were well attended. The produce had been arranged in the church on Saturday, and the heaps of vegetables and fruit bore testimony to the bountiful season. At the evening service the choir rendered two harvest anthems, and Mrs Barr sang the solo, “Sowing and Reaping.” The sale of produce took place on Monday evening, £7 being realised. Personal. The Rev. Kearney and Mr Johnson have gone to Dunedin to attend the Presbyterian General Assembly. Mr W. Brown, who is in the Waikato Hospital, is making good progress. Mrs Whyte and family left the district last week for Te Rapa, where they have bought a farm.
