Automatic Chassis Lubrication Magazine Oilers *TTIE vital moving parts of the Reo com--1 mercial chassis are automatically lubricated by magazine oilers. Steering pivots, propeller shaft bearings, all spring shackle bolts and bushings are never short of oil as long as there is a drop in the magazines. The diagrams above show sectional views of magazine oilers at the front of the fore spring and the back of the rear spring. As in a paraffin lamp, a wick leads up from the oil reservoir over the edge and down through a drilled hole to the upper spring shackle bolt. Drilled passages carry oil to the lower shackle bolt and permit it to drop on the springs. Reo transport is trouble-free and fast because Reo engines and chasses are thoroughly lubricated.
