The Incident between Mr Poison, M.P., and the Dannevlrke County Council over the payment of 1s 2d for a telegram sent collect In reply to a request by Mr Poison for Information, concluded to-day, when the amount In dispute was received from Mr Poison, with the following covering letter to the council’s lady olerk: “ Your former communication could be forgiven on the ground of Ignorance, but your last la Insolent, and shows plainly that the slight put upon mo was intended. Let me oorrect you- Members of Parliament do not get their telegrams franked, and the stampage allowance does not pay my bureau calls. I fall to see what my salary has to do with the matter. You j receive a salary as clerk of the Dannevlrke County, but you would oertalnly resent It if I sent you a collect telegram dealing with county matters.” The county chairman, Mr A.
