GARDEN CLUB.
SHOW AT NGARUAWAHIA. A GREAT SUCCESS. The newly-formed Garden Club at Ngaruawahia, which has taken the place of the past Horticultural 00~ ciety, held its first display on Tuesday. Despite the inclement weather experienced throughout the past week the fchow attained a high standard. Although cut flowers had suffered grealiy from wind and rain exhibitors were enthusiastic and the entries were numerous in practically _ everv class. Roses, although not quite up to first class exhibition standard, owing to the weather and the lateness of the show, were predominant, and in this class Mr Bennett, of Te Kowhai, is worthy of special mention for the qua lily and number of, entries. The display of sweet peas was also good. In the class for pot plants and cacti the exhibits were numerous and particularly good. The display was of a high standard and surpassed the expectations of the organising committee.
