Mrs J. G. Coates arrived in Auckland this morning from Wellington with the Right Hon. J. G. Cotes, to attend the inauguration of the Junior Reform League.

Mrs A. Samuels, who recently underwent an operation in a private hospital In Hamilton, is making good progress. This news will be welcomed by her many friends.

The Hamilton East Anglican Ladles’ Guild will hold a garden party in the grounds of Mrs H. J. Greenslade s home in Wellington Street, on Saturday next, October IP. Afternoon tea will bo served and all sorts of stalls well stocked for purchasers.

There will be a bridge evening at the Lyceum Club on Friday next, 18th, when visiting bridge will be played; players to arrange their own partners and tables if possible.
