This herd was founded many years ago with a small number of choicelybred cows, which were particularly heavy milkers and sound in type. Of these " Sabean III.,” when tested, produced 6251 b fat —a very substantial record in the early days of testing. Such outstanding sires as “ Black Swan,” “ Beauty's Majesty" and “ Matchless Victor of Bulls,” were used in the herd, and the cows to be offered carry a plentiful infusion of the blood of these stoutly-bred bulls. The grade cows arc a very choice lot full of quality and type. All the cows are in full milk, and are under test by the New Zealand Co-operative HerdTesting Association, and records up to the dale of the sale will be given.
