FLIGHT TO AMERICA.
ARRANGEMENTS BEING MADE. (Australian Press Association.) (Received Oct. 11, 1.20 p.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 10. A message from Santa Maria, California, states that Squadron Leader Kings ford Smith conferred with Captain Hancock, who backed the Sou thorn Cross’ Australian flight, after which the flier announced that the Southern Cross would conic to America from Europe as soon as backing was secured to make the trans-Atlantic and trans-Continental flight. He stated his companions would be Ulm, Litchfield, and MaoWllliara*
