BLAZE AT PALMERSTON
NARROW ESCAPE FROM HOTEL. (By Telegraph—-Press Association.) PALMERSTON NORTH, Sunday. Early on Saturday morning the Post Office Hotel in Broadway was badly gutted by fire, which is believed to have originated through the fusing of an electric wire. There were only six boarders in the house, Ihroe of whom had narrow escapes, making their way to safety down a rope of knotted sheets. •
