DAMAGED CARGO
FIRE ON A STEAMER. (Uy Telegraph.—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. A general average of 7 per cent, has been declared on Hie cargo of Hie Federal steamer Pakipaki, due at Auckland from New York next Alonday. While undev charier to Hie A. and A. Line Ihe Pakipaki. loading at New York, caught lire. The cargo in Nos. 1 and 2 holds suffered most. Her ports of discharge are Auckland. Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Dunedin.
