CHOCOLATE v. SINGER. WIN FOR THE FORMER. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.; NEW YORK, Aug. 29. In a boxing contest at the New York polo grounds, Kid Chocolate (1251 b) defeated Al. Singer (12811 b) in a decision bout of 12 rounds. There were 50,000 spectators, and the receipts totalled £45,000, both figures being records for a fight between men of their weight. No championship was involved. The bout was thrilling throughout.
