THE ROTORUA CHAMPIONSHIP, GEORGE WINS .SENIOR CUP. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) ROTORUA, Friday. In dull hut fine weather to-day play in the Rotorua golf championship was brought to a conclusion. A large crowd followed the match between Rex George (Auckland) and Morricc (Rotorua) in the final of the senior cup, which was won by George, 2 up and 1. In the Junior Cup Anal Western (Auckland) defeated. Goss (Wanganui), 3up and 2. The match was square at the end of the first 18 holes. Western in the afternoon played splenl- - golf. The Veterans’ Cup was won by Maingay (Morrinsville), who defeated Trice, G up and 5. WINTER MERGES INTO EARLY SPRING IN SMART FOOTWEAR.
