VALEDICTORY.
FAREWELL To MR. H. FOW. TRIBUTES OF ESTEEM. The fruit, merchants of Hamilton, together with the staff and directors of Messrs Fow, Cobbe and Go., assembled in force to-day to bid farewell to Mr H. H. Fow. the popular manager of the firm’s produce department, who has received an appointment in Auckland. Mr. S- Robinson, on behalf of the fruit merchants, expressed their great regret at his departure and presented him with two silver entree dishes. The directors of the firm, Messrs. R. Cobbe, S. T. Cooper, and Messrs. Molvor and Blackie, on behalf of the staff, handed Mr. Fow a substantial cheque and wished him success in his new sphere. Mr. Fow suitably responded, and hoped that after gaining further experience In the city he might again become a resident of the town.
