Bacon will be much nicer if, after it has been boiled and skinned, it is thickly sprinkled with brown or white granulated sugar. Then, with a few cloves stuck into it, it should be baked in the oven for about 20 minutes. This method will make the bacon very tender, and will give it a delicious flavour.
