Butter is firmer. Danish, 183 s; choicest salted New Zealand, 1765, exceptional, 178 s; Australian 170 sto 1725; unsalted about 2s less. Cheese is firm. New Zealand, white 90s and 91s, coloured 91s to 935. No Australian offering. BUTTER AND CHEESE QUIET. LATEST LONDON QUOTATIONS. (By Telegraph—Special to Times.) AUCKLAND, Friday. The latest advices from London state that the butter market is quiet. New Zealand finest salted is quoted at 176 s to 178 s, first grade 1745; Danish, 178 s to 180 s; Australian, salted 168 s to 1725. The Continental market is firm. Production is declining. Cheese is quiet, but steady. New Zealand, white, 91s to 925, coloured, 93s to 945. The same quotations are given for Canadian. Messrs Dalgety and Company Ltd., report having received the following cablegram from their London House dated 28th. instant. Messrs Samuel Page and Son report:— Cheese. —The market is firm, owing to small offerings. New Zealand white, 91s; coloured, 92s to 935. Butter. —The market is firm. New Zealand finest salted, 172 s to 1765; Australian finest unsalted, 168 sto 1725.
