Mrs Norman Thomas, of Auckland, who nas been staying with her mother, Mrs A. H. Tompkins, in Hamilton, returned to Auckland to-day. * * * Miss L. Newland of Dublin who arrived from Auckland by the Maheno on Wednesday to make her home, with her father in Hamilton is spending a few days with Mrs Clemow', “ Monavale ’’ Cambridge. # * # * Miss Joan Gardner, of Gisborne, is staying in Hamilton. 9 « 0 9 Miss May Ross, of Hamilton, is visiting Rotorua. ENGAGEMENT. An engagement is announced between Rose, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Hay of Hangatild, and i Arthur, youngest son of Mrs Morris and the late Mr Morris of Auckland.
