LONDON, Aug. 11. Miss Mercedes Gleitze, the noted swimmer, who on October 7, 1927, crossed the Englisti Channel in 15 hours 15 minutes is still seeking fresh seas lo conquer. She foiled to cross the Irish Sea. After swimming for 10 hours she fainted, and on being taken into the pilot boat collapsed, her limbs being numbed.
