DEATH OF A CHILD
WHILE UNDER ANAESTHETIC. VERDICT AT THE INQUEST. (By Teiegraph—press Association.) TIMARU, Saturday. At an inquest on a child named Ngaio Coults McGregor, who died under an anaesthetic while undergoing an operation, the coroner returned a verdict according to the medical evidence. He expressed the opinion that every care had been taken, that the operation was necessary, and that the child was suffering from a toxic condition which could not have been discovered by the usual careful examination.
