A POPULAR OFFICER
MR. J. REID FAREWELLED. PRESENTATION FROM STAFF. A pleasing function look place at. the Public Trust Office on Saturday, when Mr. J. Reid w-as presented with a geld Ever sharp pencil by the m miners of the staff prior to his departure for Wellington. In the absence of the District Public Trustee from Hamilton, the presentation was made by Mr. K. C. Stockman, district accountant, who made reference to Mr. Reid’s six years’ association with the branch, and to his popularity with his fellow-oltlcers and the general public.
Mr. Reid fittingly responded. Air. llcid left for the-'South last evening.
