BRIGHTER THAN SUN.
BEACON LIGHT FOR NIGHT FLIERS. An aerial beacon, which is not only the largest in the world, hut is brighter than the sun, is about to be installed on the new Palmolive skyscraper In Chicago. The beacon, which will he known as the -‘Lindbergh Light,” in honour of the famous aviator, will have a capacity of 2,000,000 candle-power. This super-searchlight will cast a beam of light so powerful that it will be visible to aviators for 500 miles in any direction! A special tower 135 feet high to house the light will give a total height of 600 feet to the Palmolive building and make it the highest point in the city.
