Mrs R. D. Rogers has returned to Auckland from a visit to Hamilton.

Miss Margery Durrant and Miss Helen Britton, of Taihape, who are spending- the winter in Auckland, and were the guests of Mrs W. A. Oliver In Hamilton for the Polo Ball, have Returned to Auckland.

Mesdames L. Glover (Manchester, England), G. Sturgeon (Karamea), Misses G. Gray and Fillick (Sydney), and G. Geraghty (Rotorua) are at the Empire Hotel.

Miss Ilamerton, of Inglewood, is the guest of Mrs C. Ilamerton in Hamilton.

The Regent Ballroom; which has been closed during recent weeks to enable renovations to take place, will reopen this evening, and the many preparations made should ensure a very successful opening night.

At St. Paul’s Methodist Social Guild on Thursday afternoon, Miss B. Henry gave an interesting address on the work of the British and Foreign Bible Society, tracing its growth from its foundation. A hearty vote of thanks to the speaker was passed on the motion of the president, Mrs D. Bradley. Two songs, contributed by Mrs ■R. E. Conradi were greatly enjoyed. •
