DRAINAGE DISTRICTS.
PROPOSED AMALGAMATION. COMMISSION ASKED FOR. (Special to Times.) TE AROIIA, Friday. A petition has been prepared by the Waitoa Drainage Board, to be presented to His Excellency- the GovernorGeneral, setting forth that in the opinion of the hoard it has become necessary and expedient that the four adjoining drainage districts—llungahunga, Waitoa, Elstow and Tahuna — should form a drainage district, and asking that a commission be appointed to make an enquiry and recommendation in terms of the Land Drainag® Act.
