OBITUARY.
MR RICHARD STARK. Mr Richard Stark, aged 83, who died at Remuera, was born in Limerick, Ireland, and arrived in New Zealand with his parents in the ship Blue Packet in the early fifties. He came to the Waikato in 1891, taking up a large area of land at Walton. Mr Stark took a keen interest in local affairs, and endured all the hardships of the early pioneers. He leaves a widow, seven sons, Messrs 11. R. and A. S. Stark, of Auckland, C. J. Stark, of Hamilton,, W. F. and T. O. Stark, of Morrinsville, and E. J. and G. H. Stark, of Hungahunga, and one daughter, Mrs G. Mason, of Matamata. There are 25 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
