BADMINTON.
MORRINSVILLE CLUB.
YANKEE TOURNAMENT. Thanks mainly to the enthusiasm of Rev. Wilks (who is himself an expert badminton player), Mr B. G. Watson (secretary) and the members of the St. Matthews Entertainment Committee, a very successful badminton club has been started in Morrinsvllle, ajid Is practically assured of success. Practice games are played on several nights during the week in the Parish Hall, adjoining St. Matthew’s Church, and are always well attended, the young people of the town entering into the spirit of the game with great enthusiasm. The newly-formed club is affiliated with the central association, and intends to enter teams to compete at the forthcoming contests. For the club's Yankee Tournament there were 26 entries, and some exceptionally good games were witnessed.
