FRANKTON’S VICAR.
QUESTION OF STIPEND. MISUNDERSTANDING ARISEN. Rev. H. E. Jones, Vicar of Hamilton, stated this morning that a misunderstanding had apparently arisen concerning his resignation which he would like corrected.
“The account of my resignation ih the Waikato Times does not contain any suggestion that my stipend has ever been in arrears," he said. “I should like to testify my grateful appreciation to the wardens, who personally arranged matters to enable me to receive my stipend regularly and promptly. My reference was to that of the future prospects.”
