The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report having held their usual Morrinsville stock sale on Friday, when an average yarding of cattle came forward, with a small yarding of sheep and pigs. Prices throughout were on a par with late rales. ADDINGTON MARKETS. Twelve races of fat sheep were sold at Addington at prices which showed an casing of from Is to Is Gd a head on values of the previous week. Some good drafts were forward, and ewes predominated more than usual. In the store cattle pens there was a good sale for cows in profit and for springing heifers, and values were firm at recent rates. There was a good firm sale for fat lambs. There was better quality than usual in the fat cattle pens, which enclosed some particularly good station lines. Good prime beef sold well, but considering the improved quality, values were scarcely up to those of ihe previous week. The easing was represented by a shilling or two' per 1001 b. Specially good medium weight beef made up to 45s per JOOlb, good prime 4is to 445, medium quality 36s to 38s Gd, heavy 37s 6d to 40s, good cow 35s to 375, plain heavy 30s to 335, and rough down to 275. In the dairy cattle, pens there was a good sale for springing heifers and cows in profit. The entry was a mixed one of varied quality. The sale of the small offering of dairy cattle hrj no features, and vealers maintained recent rates. There was a medium entry of fat pigs. The market was irregular for porkers, and there was a moderate inquiry for baconers. The smalt entry of store pigs showed a slight improvement in values.
