On Saturday the Hamilton Harrier Club held a twelve-mile run from the residence of Mr. and Mrs. L. G. Turner 30 O’Neill Street, Claudelands. Starling off along the railway line and branching off at Hamilton substation the trail was laid by G. Mclntyre and S. Oliver for about three miles along the route of the Ilorahora transmission lines. The trail then circled to the east' till the main road was reached, this being followed for two miles before branching off on a straight stretch to Iluakura Junction. From there the road was followed past the Ruakura Farm till half a mile from home, when the usual run-in was held. First to finish was S. Hovey, second and third places being filled by L. Hodgson and H. Henry respectively. On' this run, road-work was the order of the day, and though this form of running is probably more tiring than cross-country work, the unusually long distance was covered In good time;

After the run, the club was entertained at afternoon tea. H. Henry thanked the host and hostess for their kindness, and the members joined in three hearty cheers.
