HOCKEY DANCE

A delightful time was spent on Wednesday evening last when Te Awamutu Ladies’ Hockey Club held a dance in the Town Hall. The Hall was prettily decorated with lemon and green streamers and excellent, music was played by Swift's Orchestra of Te Kulti. Delightful extras were played by Misses E. Gerrand and N’. Quinlan and Mr E. Holmes. The duties of masters of ceremonies were in the capable hands of Messrs D. Wallace, A. Spiers and 0. Finch. During the evening two noveltydances were held and the winners were: Spot waltz, Mr D. Donaldson and Miss Harris (Otorohanga) and Monte Carlo, Mr B. Spiers and Miss G. Ryburn.

A dainty supper was served in the supper room which was tastefullydecorated in autumn tints.
