To bring up the colour in new floortiles, sweep entirely free from grit, wash over with hot water and a soft cloth, and, when nearly dry, rub soft soap in evenly. Tiles once soaked in soft soap will retain a rich appearance.
Mix ioz. of lanoline and loz of sulphur to a paste and rub into the scalp. It removes dandruff, makes the hair glossy and enriches the scalp. Apply after washing the head.
When washing sateen or any cotton goods with a satin finish rinse them in borax water to give them a gloss
