DAIRY CONFERENCE,
SMOKE CONCERT GIVEN. TRIBUTES TO THE DISTRICT. WHANGAREI, Friday. Delegates to the dairy conference were entertained at a smoke concert last night. Over 300 people were present. Dr. Realms, Messrs Morton, Grounds and others spoke of the latent possibilities of tile North, which is destined to become one of the largest dairying producing areas in the Dominion. Over 90 per cent, of the delegates are making their first visit and are astounded to find Whangarei so up-to-date and farming development so advanced in a district unknown to the majority of the people of the Dominion. The visitors were taken on motor excursions to-day.
