LADY GOLFER’S FEAT.
TEE SHOT FINDS TIN. INCIDENT AT ST. ANDREWS. Playing a round with a friend at St. Andrews yesterday Mrs W. M. Horton, a member of the Hamilton Ladies’ Golf Club, enjoyed the remarkable experience of holing out with her tec shot at the short fourteenth. As those who have played the course are aware, the surface of the fourteenth green cannot be seen from the tee below, but when Mrs Horton had played it was obvious that the ball had pitched close to the flag. It was not in sight, however, when the players reached I lie green until a glance into the tin revealed the ball nestling at the bottom.
