NEW BANK BUILDING.
IN HAMILTON NORTH.
LOCAL TENDER ACCEPTED. The tender of Mr W. J. Clague, of Hamilton East, has been accepted for the erection of the Hamilton North sub-branch of the Bank of New Zealand. The contract price is £8205. The site is on the southeast corner of Victoria and London Streets. Plans and specifications were drawn up by Mr R. Atkinson Abbott, architect, of Auckland. The new branch will be a handsome two-storey structure of steel and concrete construction. It will have a frontage of 38ft. Bin., to Victoria Street and about 80ft to London Street. The main entrance will be on the corner. The upper storey will consist of good residential quarters with seven main rooms.
A period of 22 weeks is allowed for the completion of the building. The head Hamilton office of the bank will continue to be, as at present, At the corner of Hood and Vietori* Sifjßfit*
