ALLEGED THEFT,
£3BO INVOLVED. LAND AGENT ARRESTED. “MERELY A MATTER OF ACCOUNTS” (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Friday. Alfred Arnest Craddock, aged 60, land agent, of Christchurch was arrested by a detective on the Ulimaroa before the vessel left for Sydney this morning. He appeared at the Police Court to answer a chargo of having fraudulently received £S3O and fraudulently omitted to account to Thomas Wallace, thereby committing theft. Accused who stated It was merely a matter of accounts which were in dispute was remanded to appear at Christchurch. Bail was granted In sureties of £BOO.
