The committee set up to discuss problems relating to workshops practice and laboratory training put before it by the Minister of Education recommended that it is absolutely essential that workshops should be self-con-tained and well and suitably partitioned for the work they have to doSpecial reference is made to farmers sons and machinery; also that for the efficient leaching ot engineering it is essential that there should be suit-ably-equipped laboratories for experimental work in applied mechanics, physics and elementary chemistry, strength of materials, steam and internal combustion engines, electrical engineering, motor engineering, and hydraulics-
