DUTIES ON MEAT. CONFERENCE ON SATURDAY. (By Telegraph- -Pr-rss asst*. -Cepyright.) (Australian "ross Association.) (Received May 16, 1.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Saturday. An Australian memorandum on Ihe proposed new United States tariff rates was published here, and has created a great deal of interest. Another feature of the tariff situation will he a meeting on May 18 of representatives of meat importing concerns from Australia, Canada and Argentine for the purpose of discussing a provision in Ihe proposed tariff dealing with input.
Those assembled will bear reports from their special Washington representatives, wtio have been enquiring into the matter .
