SUGGESTION TO COUNCIL. AREA NEAR NO. 1 BRIDGE. A suggestion that two acres of land between the Alain South Road and the Waikato River immediately north of No. I Bridge should be transferred from the Waipa County-to the borough as a public reserve was made in. a letter received from Mr A. B. Collier at the Borough Council meeting lasi night. The area could he maintained as a park by the Hamilton Beautifying Society, said the writer. The County Council was prepared to transfer the gravel reserve subject to two slight conditions. He would like to know if the Council was prepared lo take over the land.

Ttic Mayor, Mr J. R. Fuw, said the question of cost and the extent to which the residents in the vicinity were prepared to assist should he discussed. The matter was referred to the General Purposes Committee.
