VERSES.

I, a stately dandelion, gazing at thy Wish that I for just a while could change with thee my place. The bees are all thy playmates, but me they often scorn; I love to see them playing with you early in the morn. 0 clover, were I perfect I am sure that I would be A tiny, sweet and modest flower, a fairy form like thee!
WHITHER?
“ Dainty little madden, whither will you wander — Whither from this pretty house, this city-house of ours? ” “ All among the meadows, the clover and the clematis, Daisies and king-cups, and honeysuckle flowers!” “Dainty little maiden, whither will you wander — Whither from this pretty home, this home where mother dwells ?’’ “ All among the gardens, auriculas, anemones, Roses and lilies, and Canterbury bells 1” —Lord Tennyson.
