BISHOP OF WAIKATO

VISIT TO TARANAKI. The Bishop of Waikato, the Right Rev. C. A. Cherrington, arrived in New Plymouth last week, accompanied by his chaplain, the Rev. Mr Adams, and stayed a night with Archdeacon Evans. On Sunday he preached at' Egmont Village and Inglewood, there being a record attendance at the confirmation service in the latter town. On Monday he went on to Stratford, and, after visiting Whangamomona, he is due at Waitara to-day to dedicate the new' lychgate at the church. After this ceremony he will return to Hamilton.
