THE CEMETERIES.
(To thg Editor.) Sir, —I would like to pass my opinion on the Hamilton West Cemetery _in answer to “A Disgrace,” of the ioth instV I understand that all plots in the Hamilton West Cemetery have been taken up and that there are no more plots to be had. Therefore, I do not see why the’ Borough Council should have to stand the upkeep of same, as all persons having relations buried there are responsible for the cleaning of the plots. If ”A Disgrace” bought a section of land from the Borough Council and erected a house on same, Surely he would not expect the Council to keep his section in order. 1 understand that the Council’s part is to keep the paths in order. 1 know ( of parsons living handy to both ceme- ' teries who have plots there and are well able to pay for the same to be kept in order; but I think; they are of thb same opinion as ‘‘A Disgrace,” that the Council should stand the expense. —I am, etc., ONE WHO HAS PLOTS AND ,-KEEPS THEM CLEAN.
