LAWN TENNIS.
WAIKATO ASSOCIATION. FORTHCOMING MATCHES. At a meeting of the executive held last evening the Match Committee reported that the following matches had been arranged:— Town v. Country.—To be played at Hamilton on Saturday, January 26, each team to consist of 10 men and 10 ladies. Waikato v. Auckland. —Saturday, February 16, at Auckland. Waikato v. Thames Valley.—Saturday, March 9, at Hamilton. It was decided to arrange for exhibition matches to be played at Hamilton early in the New Year. It was left to the Match Committee to arrange details with Dr. Laurenson, A. W. Sims, and two Auckland players. The secretary reported having ordered 30 dozen balls for the association's Easter tournament, to be held March 29 and 30 and April 1 and 2. Verbal advice was received .that arrangements for the Maori tournament to be played at Hamilton from March 19 to 23 were well in hand. In connection with two trophies donated by Mr S. B. Sims for competition it was resolved on Mr Sim's recommendation to allocate these to the junior competitions at the Easter tournament.
