BRISBANE DOCTOR FINED. FALSE INCOME RETURNS. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.— Copyright.) (Australian Press Association.) (Received Dec. 19, 10.30 a.m.) BRISBANE, Dec. 19. A fine of £IOO in default sis months' imprisonment was imposed on Harold Savige, a medical practitioner, for having submitted a false income tax return. Defendant was also ordered to pay double the amount of tax evaded, which amounted approximately to £175.
