GIRL GUIDES' CORNER

Dear Guides and Brownies, — Do all companies break up to-day? Peter knows of some that do and wishes them a very Jolly funotion. The corner Is " breaking up " officially, but we'd be awfully pleased to get some more guide news while you are all in camp. Will you remember this and write to Peter about your doings? We start at 2.30 p.m. now instead of 2 p.m. Our Captain blew her. whistle and told up to get ready for drill. Next we sat down in the shade which was beautifully cool. She explained to us what we wanted to take to camp. I am not going to camp as we had already arranged to go to Tauranga. We are having our breakup on Saturday and I'm very sorry. Our Lieutenant can sit up now. There are only two more Patrols to go up tbe Primrose and the Bed Rose. I am sending some picture cards 'and some books for your Christmas Cheer Campaign.

" Starlight," First Frankton Company writes. —On Saturday we held our Guide meeting as usual. Next Saturday we are breaking up from Guides, so in the holidays I will have to write about other things. We then dismissed to our corners where we did some work. Then we went out and had drill after which we sat down and our Captain told us things about camp. We then played a game. Having finished that we had inspection ant} our marks were taken. On Saturday tin Forget-me-nots went up to see; our Lieutenant who is progressing favourably. Wc are having our examinations now, and my brother went for his prollciency on Friday. How did your brother do in his proficiency, Rene? Are you going into camp? We're ever so glad to hear that your lieutenant is progressing sa favourably.—Peter Pan.
