NGAHINAPOURI.

Tennis. Practice games of tennis were played last Saturday, as all matches were cancelled on account of the trnts at Hamilton. No more association matches will take, place until January, when they will be continued until the rounds for the season are finished. The local A learn has been more successful this season in the matches played than the B team, which has been considerably weakened owing to such a shortage of players. Haymaking. Haymaking has been suspended during the last few days on account of the spell of damp weather. Although the rain is very beneficial to the country at this lime of the year, the position for farmers with cut hay is rather unsatisfactory. Locally quite a lot of inconvenience has been experienced by farmers whose hay was ready to stack just prior to the recent break in the weather. No doubt once the fine weather is with us again it will continue long enough for most of the hay crops to be stacked.
