YOUNG MAN KILLED.
FATHER AND MOTHER INJURED. CAR AND LORRY COLLIDE. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn.) WAIMATE, Friday. William Alfred Charles Broad, aged 22 single, a grocer's assistant at Geraldine, was killed in a collision with a motor lorry four miles from Waimatc at seven o'clock last evening. Deceased was driving a car containing his father and mother, returning from a bowling match at Waimate. The car struck the lorry on a bridge, continuing over the bridge through a wire fence, and down a 14-foot bank. Deceased's neck was broken. The mother sustained a broken collar-bone and the father severe facial injuries.
