THE WEATHER.
The following barometer and thermometer readings taken from 9 a.m. daily, and weather conditions are kindly supplied by Mr Jas. Bremner: Barometer. Saturday 20.90 Monday 29.80 Thermometer. Max. min. Friday 76 50 Saturday 80 50 Barometer 29.80, unsteady. Indications are that showery weather will continue today, probably fair to-morrow. Winds becoming brisk from west to south and clearing. Cooler conditions following. Saturday was fair. Rain commenced to fall late on Sunday afternoon, registering 0.54 inches. Winds from north-west. Mean temperature 70.5 degrees. The Weather Bureau wires for 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day the indications are for southerly winds, moderate to strong, freshening. Expect dull weather with much mist and fog in parts. Rain probable; also misty rain with cold temperatures. Barometer little movement with a rising tendency.
