TENNIS CARNIVAL.
SUB-ASSOCIATION'S EFFORT. ORGANISING COMMITTEES. Arrangements for the Gala Day, which will terminate the efforts of the Hamilton Suburban Lawn Tennis Sub-Association to raise funds, were carried a further stage at a meeting of the special committee appointed for this purpose held last night. Mr 11. Blackwood presided over a good attendance of delegates. The chairman reported that the Waikaln Times had consented to have its flag-pole used to fly pennants indicating the posilions of the respective queens from time to lime. It, was decided to approach the Beautifying Society for permission to use Ferry Bank as the locality of the fair. A sports committee, consisting of Messrs Oxenham, Alexander and Mead, was appointed to organise the athletic activities. Messrs Cobbe and Fisher were appointed a publicity committee. It, was left to the chairman and secretary to arrange for the attendance of a band and to obtain side-shows.
