SERVICE TO INDIA. (British Official Wireless.' lIIJGBY, Sepl. 7. After I he. general meeting yesterday of Imperial Airways, Ltd., an extraordinary general meeting was held, at which the chairman. Sir 1 Erie Geddos, gave information regarding Hit; new agreement with the Govcrnmenl, and asked the shareholders lo adopt Ihe ! necessary amendments to the articles I of association. The main feature of I the new agreement was the establish- I ment. of a weekly service between i England and India, with the, most modern aircraft. As the traffic developed ' it was intended to make the service a | bi-weekly one. The agreement also provided for the j more rapid obsolescence of the Meet, and its replacement by more up-1 o- I ( date units. Another provision was the j ' transfer to Ihe company of two large j Ihrcc-cngined all-metal living boats. I The subsidies to be earned by the j ’ company for its European service, as j ! well as* for the new Indian service j were spread over 10 years and j amounted lo over £2-500.000.. i j
