Messrs D. E. Keane. G. O Halloran (Auckland), R. C. Somerville Wellington), and R. D. Knight (Longburn) are at the Hamilton. Hotel. Captain J. B. Rainey, joint manager at Wellington of the Commonwealth and Dominion Line, will retire on superannuation at the end o mon tli. >\fter a seven months’ business trip, which included Great Britain, France, Canada, and the United States Mr H. p. Cilughey returned to Auckland by the Aorangi from Vancouver last evening. Mr Justice Herdman, Mrs Herdman and Miss Herdman made a comprehensive tour of Scotland,' and then visited Ireland. They will (-writes a London correspondent) see more of England and Wales, making motor tours, before leaving London for the South of France. ' The Hon. G. J. Anderson and Mrs Anderson have returned from a five weeks’ tour of the Continent, writes a London correspondent. They found die hot weather in Southern Europe too severe, and they curtailed their trip somewhat. They will probably leave for New Zealand about the end of September.
