JOINERY WORKS BURNED.
FIRE IN WARD STREET. A FIERCE BLAZE. A fierce outbreak of fire occurred about 1.20 this afternoon in Mr C. Adams’ joinery works, Ward street. The flames had a strong hold when the Brigade arrived and though the workshop was only a small structure two powerful leads of hose had to-be employed to control the flames, which were threatening the adjacent shop. The building is almost a complete loss, although some of the machinery was saved by the prompt arrival of the Brigade. The building and contents were insured in the Atlas .Company.
